Father had learned to make seekh kebabs from the artisan of Kolkata. In the beginning only the artisans of Kolkata used to make it. Later both father and Manish learned this skill from the same artisan. From that time till today, the Seekh Kebab of Prabhat Cinema Chowk is famous in the whole city. Khasi meat is used
Manish explains that he uses Khasi meat to make seekh kebabs. In this, the back thigh and chest of the cough are used more. This meat is marinated with garlic, turmeric, chili, cumin and round chili and kept for an hour. Then the marinated meat is put in an iron skillet and it is cooked on a low flame. Manish says that this seekh kebab prepared from mutton is very tasty.

Manish told that the price of one stick in the seekh kebab found at his street is Rs 55. People come from far and wide to eat it. It is said that about 80 to 100 cic are sold daily at his shop. Many customers have been coming to eat Seekh Kebab for 30 consecutive years.
