Ingredients to make Dal Makhani
Urad Dal – 3/4 cup
Rajma – 2 tbsp
Tomato Pulp – 1.5 cups
Finely chopped onion – 1/2 cup
Fresh cream – 1/2 cup
Butter – 3 tbsp
Ginger-garlic paste – 1/2 tsp
Green chili cut lengthwise – 2
Cumin – 1 tsp
Turmeric – 1/4 tsp
Red chili powder – 1 tsp
Cinnamon – 1 piece
Cloves – 2-3
Cardamom – 2-3
Green coriander leaves chopped – 2-3 tbsp

How to make Dal Makhani
To make Dal Makhani, first clean and wash urad and rajma two to three times. After this, keep them soaked in water overnight. The next day, put the soaked Rajma and Urad in a strainer and drain the water. Now put 2 cups of water in the pressure cooker and put urad and rajma in it and put it on the gas by closing the lid. Cook them till 6-7 whistles and then turn off the gas and let the pressure of the cooker release on its own.

After this, open the cooker and take out urad and rajma in a utensil and press it lightly, after that beat it lightly with the help of a churner. After this keep them separate. Now put butter in a pan and heat it. After melting butter, add cumin seeds and fry it. After the cumin seeds crackle, add cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, green chilies and finely chopped onions and fry while stirring. Fry the onion till its color turns golden.

After this, add ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, tomato pulp, urad-rajma, red chili powder and mix everything well with the help of a ladle. Now cook it till the mixture starts leaving oil. Then add 3-4 spoons of water and boil it for 10-15 minutes. Then add fresh cream, mix and let it cook for 3-4 more minutes.
