Komal, daughter of late Suresh Babu Saxena, was murdered on Tuesday by her brother-in-law Anshul who entered the house by slitting her throat with a knife. He had attacked Komal severely. The murderer had also pounced on his mother-in-law, Savinay. He saved his life by running away.
During police interrogation, Anshul alias Ravi told that he had a love marriage with Vartika alias Ruby on 22 January 2021. Vartika’s family was not happy with the separation of the community. Somehow Vartika’s family agreed. Then mother-in-law had lent seven lakh rupees twice to get the house built.
After marriage, mother-in-law and brother-in-law Ankur used to demand money from him every day. For this he used to insult him. To avoid paying the money, he had proposed to get Komal married to his younger brother Pankaj Sharma alias Chhotu. Anshul’s plan was that if Komal would come to his house then he would not have to pay the money, but his in-laws refused.
The accused drank alcohol before murder
Inspector Sadar Surendra Pal told that accused Anshul had consumed a lot of alcohol on the night of 16 December. On the day of the incident, he also sat in front of the street leading to Komal’s house at ten in the morning. He drank alcohol there too.
