Shehzada Movie Review Kartik Aryan Kriti sanon film Is an another Average remake

In the year 2022, many questions arose on the remake films of Bollywood. However, in the midst of these questions, ‘Drishyam 2’ also went on. Now in the beginning of this year, the pair of Karthik Aryan and Kriti Sanon is seen. In ‘The Prince’. This film is a Hindi remake of the 2020 Telugu film ‘Ala Vaikunthapuramalu’, in which superstar Allu Arjun was seen. Do not even talk about ‘Ala Vaikunthapuramalu’ and watch this film like a Hindi film, even then this film is nothing more than an average masala film. Come, let me tell you why I am saying this.

If we talk about the story, then it starts in such a way that a son is born on the same day in the house of Randeep Jindal, the owner of Jindal Companies, and Valmiki, an employee working here. But Valmiki replaces his son with Jindal’s son. Valmiki’s son becomes the prince of Shani palaces and his son becomes the heir of the Jindal family. But then comes the twist, when Bantu comes to know about this truth. Now what will Bantu do to get this empire of crores, how will he do it, that’s what you will see in this film.

Why such films in 2023?
It may be a remake of the 2022 Telugu film, but its story reminds one of the films of the 80s or 90s. Rohit Dhawan, son of director David Dhawan, has directed this film and his father’s style is clearly visible in this film. But in today’s era, why are we serving the story of the 80s and that style to the audience, that too without any value addition, it is beyond my understanding. The success of ‘Pathan’ has given life to the argument that ‘Masala films’ can still create a bang by pulling the audience to the theatres. But we forget again and again that Shah Rukh’s ‘Comeback Factor’ was the strongest in ‘Pathan’. Although his story has also been criticized. ‘Shehzada’ is also trying to do the same.

nothing new, nothing unique
There is nothing new or unique in this film. The film is average because there is no surprise factor anywhere from beginning to end. Whatever is happening, you know before it happens, it will happen. But many scenes have been ended suddenly in such a way that what can I say. Like Karthik reaching Mauritius directly with his grandfather. There is no logic in this scene.

how to forgive the sin of songs
The weakest link of the film is its songs which suddenly come in the middle. The story is going on, you feel maybe something will happen now and then suddenly a song comes on. The tune or style of the songs is not such that their sin of breaking the rhythm of the story can be forgiven. Especially not a song depicting Diwali.

This film is of Karthik and Paresh Rawal
Talking about acting, Karthik looks good in this film. You can see them. But there is nothing worth doing for Kriti. She adds beauty in this film, that’s all. They don’t even have the scope to perform. Something similar has happened with Manisha Koirala as well. Nothing very unique has been done to them either. This film belongs to Karthik-Paresh Rawal, both in terms of scenes and also in terms of acting. Yes, some action scenes were refreshing and new. Like the Chunni action scene.

Shehzada is directed by Rohit Dhawan.

There is nothing new, unique or surprise factor in this film. This is an average film, which if you watch with friends, you might enjoy it. Because with friends it is fun anywhere anyway. 2 stars to this film from my side.
