Sources said that in the all-party meeting, Jaishankar said that not even 24 hours have passed since Hasina came to India and she is in shock. According to sources, Jaishankar said that the government is giving time to Hasina to recover from the shock and after that it will talk to her on other issues including her future plans.

According to sources, various opposition leaders including the leader of opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi said that they will give their full support to the government on this issue. YSR Congress leader V Vijayasai Reddy said that his party supports the government in the interest of the country.

Hasina arrived in India on Monday night in a C-130J military aircraft of the Bangladesh Air Force. It is being told that she plans to go to London.

According to sources, while giving information about the current situation in Bangladesh to the leaders of political parties in Parliament House, Jaishankar said that India is in touch with the Bangladeshi Army to ensure the safety of more than 10 thousand Indian students present in the neighboring country.

What did the government say on Rahul Gandhi’s question?

According to sources, while answering the questions of other leaders including Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha, the Foreign Minister did not deny the role of foreign governments in the chaos in Bangladesh, but he stressed that the situation is very sensitive and the government is constantly monitoring the developments in the neighboring country.

Sources said that in the all-party meeting, Rahul asked whether foreign governments could have a hand in promoting anarchy in Bangladesh. In the meeting, Jaishankar said that protesters in Bangladesh damaged the houses and properties of minorities.

After the meeting, the Foreign Minister wrote on the social media platform ‘X’, “I was briefed on the recent developments in Bangladesh in an all-party meeting in Parliament today. I appreciate all the parties for the unanimous support and coordination shown during this meeting.”

Congress leader Karti Chidambaram said that in the all-party meeting, the government gave information about the current situation in Bangladesh. He told ‘PTI-Bhasha’, “As far as national security and national interest are concerned, the Congress party is completely with the government.” However, Karti was not present in the meeting.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister in all-party meeting Amit Shah, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, T R Balu of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), Supriya Sule of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and other senior leaders participated.
