Sabudana Vada Recipe: Sabudana Vada is a traditional and tasty fruit preparation for the people observing fast in the month of Sawan. Please tell that the month of Shravas has started from 4th July and it will end on 31st August. This year the month of Sawan is of 59 days and there will be 8 Mondays in it. Many Shiva devotees keep fast in the month of Sawan. Many people fast only on Sawan Mondays. During fasting, fruit made from sago is very much liked. Often people eat sago khichdi, although vadas made from sago are also very much liked.
After eating sabudana vada, one does not feel hungry for a long time, in such a situation, apart from being tasty, sabudana vada is also a great fruit food. Sabudana Vada can be prepared very easily. Let’s know the simple way to make it.

Ingredients to make Sabudana Vada
Sabudana – 1 cup
Roasted Peanuts – 1 cup
Potatoes boiled – 3
Green chili chopped – 4-5
Black pepper powder – 1/2 tsp
Rock salt – 1 tsp
Green coriander chopped – 2 tbsp
Oil – for frying
How to make Sabudana Vada
To make flavourful Sabudana Vada, first wash the Sabudana and soak it in water for 4-5 hours. By doing this, the sago will swell and become very soft. Now heat a pan on medium flame and add peanuts to it and sauté. It will take 5-6 minutes to roast the peanuts properly. After roasting the peanuts, turn off the gas and crush them lightly.
Now take soaked sago and transfer them in a vessel. Add black pepper powder, crushed peanuts, finely chopped green chilies and rock salt as per taste and mix well.
After this, take boiled potatoes and mash them and add them to the sago. Now mash this mixture well. Mixture for Sabudana Vada is ready. After this, make balls by taking a little mixture in your hand and give them the shape of vadas.

Now put oil in a pan and heat it. When the oil becomes hot, add the prepared Sabudana Vadas and deep fry them. After frying for some time, flip the Sabudana Vada and deep fry from the other side. Fry the Sabudana Vadas till they become crispy and golden from both the sides. After this, take out the fried Sabudana Vadas in a plate. Similarly fry all the sabudana vadas. Serve the flavourful Sabudana Vada with curd.
