Sikkim Accident: Three people died in a terrible accident in Ranipur, Sikkim, India’s north-eastern state, while at least 30 people are seriously injured. On Saturday (February 10), hundreds of people gathered in the fair held at Tata Maidan here were playing Tambola (local game), when suddenly death knocked.

Here, a speeding milk tanker lost control at the fair and hit three cars hard and then stopped at high speed, mowing down the people nearby. Three people died on the spot, while at least 30 people have been admitted to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

CCTV footage of this accident has also come which is horrifying. It can be seen that around 7:30 pm, the brakes of the milk tanker coming at a high speed fail and after crushing three cars passing by, it wreaks havoc on the people present nearby.

The milk tanker in which the accident took place had the Sikkim Milk Union label on it. Immediately after the accident, there is shouting and running in the fair. People are seen helping each other and crying and screaming.

The condition of many people remains critical
According to Ranipur fair officials, 17 of the injured have been admitted to CRH Manipal Hospital. Sikkim Police reached the spot immediately after receiving the information and with the help of local people took all the injured to the hospitals of Ranipur. Sources have said that the death toll may increase. The entire atmosphere has become sad due to this sudden death during the celebration of the fair. People who lost their loved ones have been making rounds of hospitals since Saturday night.
