Sikkim Assembly Election Result 2024 Live: Counting is taking place on Sunday (June 2) after voting for the assembly elections in Sikkim amid the wait for the results of the Lok Sabha elections. Counting of votes started at 6 am. Sikkim currently has a ‘Sikkim Krantikari Morcha’ (SKM) government, which is waiting to return to power again. Its main rival in the state is the Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF). 

Apart from SKM and SDF, there are other parties in the Sikkim assembly elections, who are trying their best to win the elections. BJP, Congress and Citizen Action Party-Sikkim (CAP-S) are also in the fray. There are 32 seats in the Sikkim assembly. Any party needs to win at least 17 seats to get a majority. This time 146 candidates are contesting on these 32 seats.
