Actually, a stunt shoot of the film was about to take place and before that, an imported car caught fire and the driver was trapped in the car. A spark had burnt the imported car
Rohit Shetty had told that before shooting stunts on the sets of films, he drains the petrol tank of the vehicles. In such a situation, when a tank was being removed on the set of âChennai Expressâ, some petrol leaked and it came down on the chassis. It was an imported car, which had a reserve tank and they were not aware about it. After the stunt shoot was over, when they went to extinguish the fire, a spark flew to the car and the entire car got burnt.
Car caught fire, driver was trapped inside
The âChennai Expressâ director had further told that his driver Shankar Anna was in the car at that time. When the fire broke out, the car was upside down and the drivers were trapped inside it. Luck was good because there was a fire brigade present on the set at that time, who extinguished the fire and broke the glass of the car and pulled the driver out with difficulty. Rohit Shettyâs driverâs hand was burnt in this accident. Later he was taken to the hospital.

On the work front, Rohit Shettyâs film âSingham Againâ is releasing in theaters on November 1. Apart from Ajay Devgan and Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shroff and Akshay Kumar will also be seen in the film. The film will compete with Kartik Aryan starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 at the box office.
