On Sunday, the second day of constable recruitment examination, STF and district police have arrested 82 solver and copycat candidates in the first shift. An issue related to erroneous printing in some pages of the question paper has been cognized from a center in Varanasi. The board has taken the matter seriously and necessary action is being taken. Candidates can also submit their representation in this regard to the board office.
Like Saturday, the examination was conducted in two shifts in all 75 districts of the state. The examination started at 10 am in the first shift. For which the admission of candidates started at all the examination centers of the state including Lucknow from 8.30 in the morning. Candidates were given admission after checking and biometric. During this period, elaborate security arrangements were seen.
The examination is being conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board at 2378 centers in the state. In the action taken by UP STF and Police on the first day of the examination, 122 people were arrested from different districts for attempting burglary. The security agencies, already prepared for the examination, had arrested 26 cheating mafia on Thursday and Friday also. Thus far, 148 people have been arrested. More than 90 percent candidates across the state are said to appear on the first day of the examination.
Police recovered this
Police said that the people engaged in copying were found in possession of a large number of copied materials, microphones, electronic devices, forged seals, fake admit cards, checks of various banks, educational certificates, mobile phones, fake Aadhaar cards, driving license etc. License, voter card, PAN card, ATM card etc. were recovered. Cash worth lakhs has also been seized. This amount was collected from the candidates in exchange for copying.
