Convict sentenced to life imprisonment in murder case

The court has sentenced the accused to life imprisonment in the case of kidnapping and murdering a woman four years ago in Sitamarhi, Bihar. A fine of Rs 15,000 has also been imposed. After hearing arguments from both sides, Additional Sessions Judge (15) Rajesh Bharti found the accused guilty and heard the point of sentence in which the accused has been sentenced to life imprisonment. The accused Nandkishore Pandit is a resident of Brahmaul village of Nanpur police station area.
According to the information, Additional Public Prosecutor Kameshwar Prasad argued on behalf of the prosecution. He told that Surendra Pandit called Ajay, the brother of the informant, from Begha village of Nanpur police station area at 10 pm on March 1, 2020 and took him to Brahmaul village. Later Ajay’s body was found tied in a sack in a pond. After that, the deceased’s brother Vipin Kumar lodged an FIR. After that, the accused was arrested after police investigation.
In the police investigation, the body was found in a sack in a pond in Sirsi village. In the investigation, the police had said that it was a murder due to love affair. The girlfriend had revealed the secret of the murder. In this case, the police had arrested Nandkishore’s sister. She told that she had a love affair with Ajay. The girlfriend’s parents, brother and villagers were aware of this. On March 1, I and my father were at home.
The girlfriend told the police that I had called Ajay from my father’s mobile and asked him to meet me. We were talking on the terrace. My father and brother saw us. After this, Ajay was beaten to death. I was scared and hid. Everyone took his body in a sack and took it somewhere.
