In Kotwali Sidhauli area of Sitapur district, the state secretary of the Congress, who was returning after attending the Tilak ceremony, was attacked and his vehicle vandalised. During this, the attackers also fired. The state secretary and his father ran away from the spot after saving their lives and informed the police about the matter.
Police has started investigation on the basis of Tahrir. Congress Party’s OBC Morcha state secretary Pawan Yadav along with his father Lalta Prasad Yadav had come to attend the Tilak ceremony organized at Ashodhan village in Kotwali area.

Late at night, he was returning from his car to his residence located in Police Station Aliganj Purania, Lucknow. On the Mahmudabad-Sidhauli Road, he suddenly got a slight doubt. He got down from the car and started doubting, in the meantime three people came there and started throwing bricks and stones. After hitting the Congress leader’s car, the attackers also fired three rounds.
The victim somehow managed to save his life and reached Sidhauli Kotwali, where he told that some people attacked him due to a land dispute. Congress District President Utkarsh Awasthi also reached the spot after getting information about the incident. Inspector Rakesh Singh told that a case is being registered on the basis of Tahrir. Soon the accused will be arrested.
