Siwan police in Bihar have arrested three notorious miscreants for shooting journalist, looting and firing at shopkeeper. Dozens of cases are registered against these three miscreants in different police station areas. On January 7, 2023, Rajesh Anal, a local journalist of Hindustan newspaper was shot and injured by unknown miscreants in Maharajganj. In this case, the police had started investigation by registering a case against unknown miscreants. Under that, the police took action and arrested the culprit and sent him to jail.
Journalist was shot for revenge
The accused Kanchan Singh, the mastermind of the attack on the journalist, is a resident of Kapia village of Maharajganj. Police arrested him on the basis of secret information. During police interrogation, the accused told that he had executed the incident along with his other two accused. Both those accused have been sent to jail in the past.
Regarding the incident, the accused Kanchan told that his gang member Anish alias Bhola resident of Purana Bazar Maharajganj was murdered. Journalist Rajesh Anal was an accused in that incident, but the police had released him after not getting any clue against him. Accused Kanchan said that we have full faith that Rajesh Anal had got Avneesh killed. To avenge the same, we tried to kill Rajesh Anal.
Loot in Madsara village and firing on shopkeeper in Gopalganj
Along with this, along with Kanchan Singh, two other members Pramod Yadav and Abhishek alias Chhotu have also been arrested. Both of them accepted during interrogation that on February 8, 2023, these people along with other members of their gang had carried out the incident of seven lakh 45 thousand loot in Madasara village of Daronda police station area. Apart from this, these people have also accepted that they fired at a shopkeeper in Gopalganj district. This information has been provided by Siwan SP Shailesh Kumar Sinha.
These items were recovered from the three accused
Police have recovered a country-made pistol, three live cartridges, smack 61 grams, mobile and Rs 3,000 cash from the arrested accused Kanchan. 315 bore country made katta, one live cartridge, 58 grams of smack and Rs 12,000 cash have been recovered from the accused Pramod Yadav. At the same time, two 7.65 mm live cartridges, mobile have been recovered from his co-accused Abhishek alias Chhotu.
