Train is considered to be the most comfortable means of traveling anywhere in India. This is the reason why every day millions of passengers make their reservation in the train and travel. Whenever you want to travel by train, you have to make a reservation before that. Only through reservation, you reserve a seat in the train, on which you can sleep and enjoy your journey.
During reservation, you will get lower berth, middle berth, upper berth, side upper Berth and side lower berth options are available. You will be surprised to know that most of the people booking tickets avoid choosing the middle berth option. The biggest reason for this is a rule of Indian Railways, which becomes a cause of trouble for them. Let’s know about this rule.
Why people do not like to choose middle berth
Middle berth is in between lower berth and upper berth. You cannot sit on this berth even if you want to. The only option is to travel by sleeping on this berth. At the same time, you cannot even sleep on this berth as per your wish. Because the rule of Indian Railways says that no middle berth passenger can sleep on his berth before 10:00 pm and after 6:00 am. That is, a middle berth passenger can sleep on his berth only after 10:00 pm and before 6:00 am. If the passenger does not follow this rule, Indian Railways can also take action on it.
This is the rule for checking tickets
According to the rule of Indian Railways, after your journey During the travel ticket examiner whom you call TTE cannot check your ticket by disturbing you after 10:00 pm. TTE has the right to verify tickets only between 6:00 am to 10:00 pm. If any TTE does not follow these guidelines of the Railway Board, then strict action can be taken against it.
