UP Social Media Guidelines: Now making reels on social media has become quite common. Everyone wants to be famous in the world of social media. People are running after followers and likes. People are creating different types of content for more followers and likes. You must have also seen many people making reels in police uniform.
Seeing such reel, the Uttar Pradesh Police has issued guidelines for social media. In the guidelines, police are prohibited from making reels on any type of social media, shooting videos of programs in public organization buses and posting them on social media, as well as debating or commenting on social media in uniform.

UP Police has issued a strict social media policy for the officers and employees of UP Police. In the advisory, personal use of social media has been banned during government duty. The reason behind the ban has been given as the reason behind the wastage of time due to the use of social media privately while on duty.

Apart from personal use of social media during official duty, live telecast on private social media platforms has also been banned. Uploading of live telecast videos of police station, police line, office, firing on social media is strictly prohibited. Along with this, posting of a victim’s video on social media, coaching, lectures, webinars, and live on social media while on duty have also been considered.
Can policemen earn from social media?
Earning from social media platforms has also been banned. Direct or indirect earning has been banned. Policemen engaged in intelligence operations have been asked to keep distance from social media. It has been written in the guidelines that senior officers can use or earn from such social media only after permission.
