Sony Xperia: Japanese company Sony has decided not to launch its next Xperia smartphone in China. The company took this decision in view of the increasing smartphone competition in China. Compared to other brands, Sony brings only a few smartphones in the smartphone market every year, but still registers good sales with models like Xperia.
Despite being popular, the company believes that Sony smartphones struggle excessively in China. This is the reason due to which the Japanese giant company is ready to withdraw from China.
Sony’s journey so far in China
About a decade ago, Sony entered the Chinese market. It took Ericsson under its control in the beginning, which benefited the company. However, later its hold became weak and if we talk about the present, very few Sony smartphones are sold in the market in China. Recently, Apple company has also seen a huge decline in iPhone sales in the Chinese market. However, the California mobile company has not given up and is preparing to open a new store in Shanghai.
Even after withdrawing from the Chinese market, Sony will continue to launch its phones in the rest of the world. Sony is maintaining a strong hold globally due to the excellent camera sensors provided in its mobiles.
Sony’s upcoming Xperia phones
If reports are to be believed, Sony is going to launch Xperia 1 VI and 5 VI soon. Upcoming Xperia smartphones are likely to have in-digital signature technology. With the help of this feature, the user will be able to put a default signature in the photo taken so that his photo cannot be tampered with. Xperia 1 VI is said to have a 48-megapixel camera sensor.
