SpaceX Sent Falcon 9 Rocket From NASA’s Kennedy Center For Research On Tomato Farming In Space

Space Research on Tomato Farming: Every day new research is done in agriculture, which is making the work of farmers easier through science and technology. This agricultural research was limited from lab to ground, but now big research is going to be done on agriculture in space as well. According to the news, scientists are now doing research on tomato cultivation in space. For this, some tomato plants and seeds have also been sent from Earth to the spaceship. The purpose of this research is to know whether these crops can be grown even in the space environment. If yes then how tasty and nutritious would be the tomatoes grown in space and what would be its effect on the health of the scientists. To get answers to all these questions, research is being done on tomato cultivation in space. Let us know in detail about these missions.

NASA sent spacecraft
Twitter owner Elon Musk’s company SpaceX has conducted this research. For this, NASA’s Kennedy Research Center has sent a space ship named Falcon-9 towards space on 23 November. According to the reports, this space ship has now reached ISS i.e. International Space Station (ISS). This space ship named Falcon-9 also includes 3,500 kg of cargo, in which tomato seeds have also been sent.

Space scientist will work on Veg-05 mission
From the tomato seeds sent in the Falcon-9 space ship, the space scientists present in the ISS will grow dwarf plants and try to produce tomatoes. To achieve this goal, the Space Scientist of ISS has launched a mission named ‘Veg-05’, whose main objective is also to ensure the availability of nutritious food in space.

helpful for astronauts
This joint mission of Space X and NASA will make living in space many times easier. If this mission is successful, then the dependence of astronauts on food sent from the earth will be reduced and they will be able to ensure food supply by growing vegetables in the gravity of space. This mission is also considered an important step in the future, although this is not the first mission to grow vegetables in space or research related to agriculture. Even before this, Chinese astronauts have succeeded in growing rice and green vegetables like cabbage and Brussels sprouts in space.
