Worm-like bacteria were crawling in the body
This case came to the fore in a hospital in Madrid where this patient came for treatment after being troubled by his diarrhea and itchy rash. The doctors were surprised to see that worm-like bacteria were crawling inside the patient’s skin. During the investigation, it was found that these worms are actually Strongyloides stercoralis, which enter the body when they come in contact with contaminated soil in tropical and subtropical areas. These parasites are called nematodes.
Ringworm spreads as soon as immunity weakens
According to the World Health Organisation, this netamode must have entered the patient’s body many years ago when he was working as sewage. Due to contaminated soil and other contaminated things there, these nematodes must have entered his body and laid eggs. But then the patient’s immunity will be strong, so their symptoms could not be detected. After a few years, when the patient was given hormone therapy due to some disease, his immunity weakened and these parasites developed themselves and spread rapidly within the body. According to doctors, since the symptoms of these Strongyloides are not known and they keep themselves alive by hiding in the body for years, the patient could not recognize them. When these parasites laid eggs, their number increased so much that their larvae were seen crawling inside the skin. If it is not treated on time, then the patient can become a victim of sepsis and liver failure.
