Stars are hundreds of millions of kilometers away from each other…but why do they appear close when viewed from Earth?

There are countless stars in our universe. Regarding stars, it is said that counting them is very difficult. That is why you often find mention of counting stars in stories and songs. The stars are very far from the Earth. To give you an idea, the distance of the Sun from the Earth is 15 crore kilometers and the stars are millions of times more distant than the Sun. Now you must have understood how far away the stars are from the Earth. But have you ever thought that one star is at a distance of millions of kilometers from another star? But when seen from Earth, stars are visible nearby. Why is it like this. Let us know.

Are very large in size

The Sun is 101 times larger in size than the Earth. But the stars are several thousand times bigger than the Sun. According to this, it can be estimated how big the stars can be in size. That is why the stars appear smaller than the Sun when seen. And this is the reason that despite being at a distance of millions of kilometers from each other, the stars appear close to each other when viewed from the Earth.

How many stars are there in the Milky Way?

So far in the world regarding counting of stars  No one has been able to make an accurate estimate. But many scientists are still doing research on this, Professor Gary Girmore of Cambridge University of America is also one of them. Professor Gary Girmore, while talking to BBC, told that the first data has come out from his team. According to that, around 20000 crore stars may be present in our galaxy.
