Street 2 Advance Booking Day 1: Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer ‘Stree 2’ has done wonders. People are so excited about the film that it has proved to be a juggernaut in advance booking. The horror-comedy drama directed by Amar Kaushik is leaving no stone unturned to become one of the biggest grossing films of 2024. The film has already topped the pre-sale charts by selling the most tickets in top national chains. At the same time, till 12 noon (August 14), ‘Stree 2’ has sold 2.60 lakh tickets in three national chains PVRInox and Cinepolis.
Stree 2 left behind the advance booking of Fighter and Kalki
The most awaited horror-comedy drama ‘Stree 2’ is clashing with Akshay Kumar’s ‘Khel Khel Mein’ and John Abraham’s ‘Veda’ at the box office. However, ‘Stree 2’ seems to be winning this competition. The film is also leading Khel Khel Mein and Veda by a huge margin in advance booking. According to a Pinkvilla report, ‘Stree 2’ has also topped the chart of the biggest pre-sales in 2024. The Shraddha Kapoor starrer has surpassed the advance booking figures of big films like Fighter Kalki 2898 AD in top national chains.
Stree 2 becomes the film with the highest advance booking in national chains
- With just a few hours left for the release of Stree 2, the film has already sold 2.60 lakh tickets across top multiplex chains for its opening day.
- Whereas 2.15 lakh tickets were sold for the opening day of Mr. and Mrs. Mahi
- 1.45 lakh tickets were booked in advance for the first day of Fighter.
- 1.25 lakh tickets of Article 370 were pre-sold.
- 1.25 lakh tickets were sold for Kalki 2898 on the first day.
More than 70 thousand tickets were sold in the paid preview
The makers of Stree 2 are also conducting paid previews on the night of August 14, a day before the film’s full-fledged release. For which, the horror-comedy film has so far sold around 70,000 tickets across top national chains. It is expected to cross the 1 lakh mark by the end of its pre-sale for night shows alone. If walk-ins help, Stree 2 could challenge Chennai Express’ 11-year-old record of highest paid preview returns.
Including preview returns, this Shraddha Kapoor film can have an opening of Rs 40 crore.
