People are crazy about Sushant Sen’s Idli stall located at Palkot Road, Gumla district headquarters of Jharkhand. As soon as the stall is set up here, there is an influx of people eating. Sushant Sen was formerly a merchant navy sailor. Did merchant navy training by taking mortgage loan. After that, he has also served in Malaysia, Vietnam, Dubai etc. During the service, Sushant fell down from the ship’s bridge. His hand was badly fractured in this accident. Due to this, he had to leave the job and return to India. Then his merchant navy fellow Australian friend Philip gave the idea.
After this, Sushant Sen started selling idlis by setting up a stall in Palkot Road. Where about 500 plates of idli are sold daily. People like Sushant Sen’s idli very much. His stall takes place every day from 7 in the morning till 1 in the afternoon. Sushant says that about 22 to 25 kg of chaurat idli is consumed daily at his stall. Coconut chutney and chilli chutney are served with idli. Garlic, onion, curd, red chili are not used in this.
Sushant told that I used to run a ship in the Merchant Navy. One day while on duty, he fell from the ship’s bridge and got injured due to which he had to return to India. After that there was a lockdown in the country due to Kovid. From above the pressure of loan started increasing. In such a situation, on the advice of friends, I set up an idli stall. People like it very much. There is maximum crowd in our headquarter to eat idli. 500 plates of idli are consumed daily. People also get parcels done. There is also a staff to lend a hand at the stall.
Abhas Kumar, a customer who came to the shop, told that since the stall has been set up, I have been coming here to eat. Here 2 pieces of idli are available for 10 rupees. The idlis here are cheap as well as tasty.
