Street Food: The taste of Saharanpur’s hot dog burger is amazing, you will be left licking your fingers after eating it.

Rakesh Kumar of Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh has been making and selling burgers on the street for many years. On this basis, he has built his own house in the city. Due to this work, he is leading a happy life by taking care of his family. Rakesh Kumar is a source of inspiration for those youths who have a craze to become rich by doing some big business.

Rakesh Kumar cooks and sells burgers at a street vendor in front of Parshwanat Plaza on Court Road in Saharanpur. He told that he has been doing this work for the last 28 years. This earns them a good income. Rakesh Kumar, a resident of Tilafra village of Nanauta area, told that he along with his two other boys make burgers and sell them to customers every day from 5 pm to 10 pm. The burger made by him is very much liked.

Earlier it was named Hot Dog, now named Burger

Rakesh told that earlier we had named our product Hot Dog, which was later changed to Burger. Explaining the reason behind this, Rakesh said in a joking manner that people used to take a little tafri about the name of hot dog as hot dog. That’s why we changed its name to Burger.

There are three types of burger available

Rakesh told that three types of burgers are prepared at his shop. Potatoes, tomatoes, paneer, butter and chili-spices are used in this. He told that the price of normal burger has been kept at Rs 40, cheese burger at Rs 50 and cheese and butter burger at Rs 60.

He told that from 5 pm to 10 pm, he sells 150-200 burgers. This earns them a good income. Rakesh Kumar told that when he started this work 28 years ago, the price of a burger used to be 5 rupees. But, with time and inflation, its price changed. There has also been a lot of change in the quality of burgers.
