Stubble Management PAU Ludhiana Prepares Nursery Planter For Kitchen Gardening Made By Paddy Straw

Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) has also found a new way to manage the stubble properly. In fact, the Department of Apparel and Textiles of Punjab Agricultural University has made nursery planters from straw. With the help of these planters, the dependence on plastic and cement planters will be reduced and trees and plants will also grow properly. Experts believe that the use of these nursery planters amid the growing trend of gardening in cities kitchen gardening Can be done for. The vegetables grown in these stubble planters will also be beneficial for health.

Planters will be made from stubble
Agricultural experts told that the nursery planter made of straw is beneficial for the farmers as well as for the kitchen gardening enthusiasts. This will reduce the dependence on plastic planters. Regarding this invention, Research Associate of PAU’s Department of Apparel and Textile, Dr. Manisha Sethi says that today’s trend of planting trees is increasing.

Till now people were using plastic planters for planting trees. When we go to buy these planters in the nursery, some fertilizers are also available along with manure, which are put in pots and plastic is thrown in the garbage, due to which the pollution in the environment increases. In such a situation, nursery planters made of straw will replace plastic planters.

The expert also told that not only for kitchen gardening, these stubble planters can also be planted in the ground along with the plant. No other material has been used in this planter completely made from straw. By using this, the shortage of fertilizers in the land will also be fulfilled and weeds will not grow. Agricultural scientists have also done a trial by planting saplings in this planter.

The expert has told the cost of the planter of this straw to be 10 to 15 rupees. If this planter is made by machine, then it can be prepared in 2 to 3 rupees. If farmers or new youth want, they can take training in Punjab Agricultural University to make planters. Along with farming, you can produce them by setting up a planter manufacturing unit and sell them to other nurseries.
