A 16-year-old student, who was preparing for medical entrance examination while staying in a hostel in Brahmanand Colony of Durgakund, Varanasi, wrote a suicide note and left his room, leaving his mobile behind. A team of five policemen, activated on the information of the family and the hostel operator, found the student from Namo Ghat after six hours of hard work with the help of footage from 49 CCTV cameras.

The family members living in Jamalpur of Chandauli called the student several times but he did not receive the call. They contacted the hostel operator and he went to his room. On opening the room, the student’s mobile along with a suicide note was found.

It was written in the suicide note that mother you are very good. Your concern is justified and you worry too much, but I could not become a worthy son. Mother no one can match you. Whatever you are, you are more than God for me.

I cannot trouble you any more. I apologize for the troubles you have had to face on my behalf, but no more…. I am going to a place from where I cannot trouble you… Goodbye mother….

A team of Inspector Vishal Singh and Himanshu Mishra and constables Sunil Yadav and Shivnarayan was formed under the leadership of Durgakund outpost in-charge Anurag Mishra. The police team started scrutinizing the footage of CCTV cameras with the help of the City Command Center located in Sigra.

After about six hours of effort, the police team saw the student going towards Namo Ghat. When the police reached Namo Ghat in a hurry, the student was found sitting there. The police brought him to Durgakund Police Station and told him to focus on his studies and future. After this, he was handed over to his family.
