This famous Dilkhush Chakki of Marwar Mithaiwala shop located at Garvit Tower in front of Truck Union, Bhinmal Bye-Pass Road, makes people crazy with its taste. People of Jalore who are fond of sweets like its taste very much. This mill can be seen in every house during festivals. Women also make it at home. Confectioner Arjun Singh told that gram flour, khoya, sugar and desi ghee are used to make this chakki. Mutthi is made by adding ghee to gram flour, then it is fried in ghee and ground finely. During kneading, more quantity of khoya is added than the amount of gram flour. After good kneading, sugar is added and stored in the tray. After it cools down, silver work is applied on it and it is decorated with dry fruits.
Shop manager Lalit Rajpurohit said that 15 to 20 kg of Dilkhush Chakki is sold here every day. It is a favorite of the people of Jalore, its consumption increases further during festivals. Lalit says that there is no compromise with quality here. Sweets are made only in pure desi ghee, which does not spoil for 15 to 20 days. On the question of why it was named Dilkhush Chakki, Lalit says that this name was given by the people of Jalore.
