Sudha Murthy On Cervical Cancer: Sudha Murthy stressed on the issue of cervical cancer in women during her speech in Parliament. The video of Sudha Murthy’s speech is going viral on social media. People are praising her speech a lot on social media.
Arrangements should be made to vaccinate girls aged 9-14 years
In her speech, Sudha Murthy said that the deadly disease of cervical cancer is increasing rapidly among women. To prevent this, girls should be given cervical cancer vaccine in the young age group itself. Arrangements should be made to vaccinate girls aged 9-14 years. Our social system is such that women do not pay attention to their health at all. By the time women come to know about the disease, it is already in the fourth stage of cancer. In such a situation, it becomes very difficult to save them.
Everyone should listen to Sudha Murthy ji’s first speech in Parliament at least once.
If every MP starts expressing his views like this then no one can stop the country from moving forward.🇮🇳 pic.twitter.com/SwTBqnA75x

What did Sudha Murthy say in her speech?
Sudha Murthy says that my father used to say that women are the center of the family. A woman is a wife, daughter-in-law, mother. After the death of the wife, the husband brings another wife for himself but the children never get another mother. Sudha Murthy says that during the Covid pandemic, a vaccination campaign was run to avoid corona, then why was a campaign not run to protect women from cervical cancer. If the government starts this campaign, it will not be expensive either.
Symptoms of cervical cancer
Talking about the initial symptoms of cervical cancer, it causes disturbances in the menstrual cycle of women. After this, women go through menopause and vaginal bleeding. Apart from all this, there is also a complaint of vaginal discharge.
If cervical cancer is identified in the first stage, more than 95 out of 100 women can be saved. When it reaches the third stage, 50 out of 100 women are cured, but if the cancer spreads from this organ to another organ, then it becomes very difficult to save them.
Does a positive HPV test mean cervical cancer?
After the HPV test is positive, further tests become necessary so that pre-cancerous lumps can be identified. Therefore, HPV tests should be done every one to two years. In more than 95% of women, the immune system automatically eliminates high-risk HPV infection, but if high-risk lumps persist, the cervix is examined with the help of a colposcopy tool. If any pre-cancerous lump is seen in the examination, then treatment should be done immediately.
