Purnia News: The body of a student from Purnia, who was studying MBBS at Novel Medical Teaching Hospital in Biratnagar, neighboring country Nepal, has been found hanging from a fan. He is a final year MBBS student at Novel Medical Teaching Hospital. The reason for the student’s death has not been clear.

According to the information, the body of 26-year-old Anshu Singh of Purnia has been recovered in Viratnagar, Nepal. Nepal’s Morang District Police is investigating the case as either murder or suicide. The deceased Anshu Singh is the son of Prahlad Singh, resident of Ward No. 24, Newalal Chowk, Purnia. He was a final year MBBS student at Novel Medical Teaching Hospital. He was studying by taking a room outside the Novel Hospital premises located in Viratnagar Ward No. 4. After getting information about the incident, the relatives of the deceased have reached Nepal Viratnagar from Purnia.

Awaiting post mortem report

Regarding the matter, according to Morang District Police spokesperson DSP Ranjan Dahal, the body of MBBS student Anshu Kumar was found hanging from the fan on Sunday morning, after which his family members were informed. After the family arrived on Sunday evening and filled in the paperwork, the post-mortem of the body was done at Kosi Hospital in Viratnagar. Although the case is murder or suicide. Police are investigating in both the cases. Regarding the matter, DSP Ranjan Dahal said that something can be said in this matter only after the post mortem report.
