Sunil Shetty Recalls His Father’s Struggle: Sunil Shetty is one of the most talented actors of Bollywood. He has given many hit films in his career. At the same time, the actor often talks about his family. Especially he definitely talks about his father and also expresses his gratitude towards him. Recently, in a podcast, Sunil Shetty revealed that his father ran away from Mangalore to Mumbai in search of work at the age of nine. In the same conversation, he told that he has now bought all the three buildings where his father used to work.
Sunil’s father used to work as a table cleaner in a restaurant
In a conversation with comedian Bharti Singh and her husband Harsh Limbachiyaa on their podcast, Suniel Shetty opened up about his father’s struggle. He said that his father started from the very bottom, Suniel Shetty said, “My father ran away to Mumbai when he was a child. He didn’t have a father but he had three sisters. He got a job in a South Indian restaurant at the age of nine because it was our community thing and we support each other. His first job was to clean tables. He was so small that he had to go around the table four times to clean all sides. He used to sleep in a sack made for rice.
Bought all three buildings of the boss
Shetty recalled how his father climbed the ladder of success and became a restaurant owner. He revealed that he has now bought three buildings where his father used to work as a manager. Sunil further said, “His boss bought three buildings and finally father was asked to manage them. When the boss retired, father bought all three buildings. Even today I own all three buildings. And this is where our journey started.” Let us tell you that Sunil Shetty’s father died in 2017 at the age of 93.
