Sunil Shetty started his career in Bollywood in 1992 at the age of 31 with the film ‘Balwan’ opposite Divya Bharti. Sunil had to face a lot of rejections due to his dark complexion. No actress wanted to work with him.

However, despite all the failures, Sunil Shetty’s first film Balwaan was a huge success and he became a star overnight.

Despite the film being a success, the criticism of Sunil Shetty did not stop. Sunil once said, “I was rejected by one of the top critics who ruled at that time and said that he cannot do this, he should sell idlis. It was personal and it hurt, I also got angry.”

However, despite facing all the criticism, Sunil Shetty became an action star. In the 1990s, he became one of the highest paid actors in Bollywood.

Sunil Shetty has not had any hit film in Bollywood since the 2007 film Cash and Dus Kahaniyaan. All his films including One Two Three, Daddy Cool, De Dana Dan, No Problem to Thank You failed at the box office. However, he still lives a luxurious life and is called a superstar.

Sunil has his own production house Popcorn Entertainment Studios and he also works in the real estate business. He has also launched a men’s jewellery brand called Metaman and has reportedly invested around Rs 24 crore in it.

According to reports, Sunil Shetty lives near Mukesh Ambani’s house and his total net worth is reportedly more than Rs 123 crore.

Sunil Shetty will soon be seen in the film Hera Pheri 3 with Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal. The actor also has Welcome to the Jungle in the pipeline.
