Sunil Pal Kidnapping Case: In Meerut district, the police has announced a reward of Rs 25,000 each on five absconding accused in the alleged kidnapping case of comedian Sunil Pal. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Vipin Tada told PTI that the absconding accused include Lavi alias Sushant alias Himanshu, Akash alias Gola alias Deependra, Shiva, Ankit alias Pahari and Shubham.
Reward announced
All five have been declared absconding in the comedian Sunil Pal kidnapping case and a reward of Rs 25,000 each has been announced on them. He told that the police are continuously conducting raids to arrest the accused. The police have already arrested an accused named Arjun Karnawal in this case.
TADA said that Sunil Pal was allegedly called on the pretext of performing at a program on December 2, after which he was kidnapped.
He told that the kidnappers kept him hostage for about 24 hours and released him only after collecting a ransom of Rs 8 lakh. According to the SSP, after this Sunil’s wife Sarita lodged an FIR in Mumbai, which was later transferred to Lal Kurti police station in Meerut and the local police started investigating the claims.

In a similar incident, Bollywood actor Mushtaq Khan was also recently kidnapped and held hostage in Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh. According to the police, the miscreants were planning to kidnap actor Shakti Kapoor on the pretext of inviting him to an event. But he has survived. Police are now taking strong action in this case.
