Actually, Suresh Gopi took oath as a minister in a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Sunday. But after taking oath, he told a TV channel, I want to work as an MP. I did not want to be a part of the cabinet. I had told him that I have no interest in it. It seems that I will be free soon.

Suresh Gopi made his debut in Kerala Lok Sabha Elections He made the lotus bloom in the election. He contested from Thrissur seat, from where he defeated Sunil Kumar of CPI by about 75 thousand votes.

According to sources, Suresh Gopi said, I am meeting people, I am getting calls, I have not taken a decision yet. I will get a call regarding the portfolio by evening. I will talk to the media in a day or two.

Earlier, Gopi had given the reason for his resignation and said, “I have signed many films and have to do them. I will work as the MP of Thrissur.” He said that he wants to do his films at any cost and he will work for the people of Thrissur. He has no problem with the people there.

George Kurien also took oath

Apart from Suresh Gopi, another leader from Kerala has got a place in the Modi cabinet. Kerala BJP leader George Kurien also took oath as a minister on Sunday, he has been included in the cabinet as a Minister of State.
