Rashtriya Shoshit Samaj Party President Swami Prasad Maurya and his daughter former MP Sanghmitra Maurya have been declared absconding by the MPMLA Court.
The court has declared all the accused as absconding after Sanghmitra Maurya, accused of marrying for the second time by fraud without taking divorce, and Swami Prasad Maurya, Neeraj Tiwari, Suryaprakash Shukla and Hrithik Singh, accused of assaulting the plaintiff, abusing him, threatening to life and property and hatching a conspiracy, did not appear in the court.

Special ACJM Alok Verma of MPMLA court has fixed 27th August for the next hearing of the case. The court said in its order that the accused are avoiding appearing in the court. Hence, action under section 82 is taken against them.
Let us tell you that the complaint alleges that complainant Deepak Kumar and Sanghamitra were living in a live-in relationship since 2016. Sanghamitra and her father Swami Prasad Maurya told the complainant that Sanghamitra was divorced from her previous marriage. Hence, the complainant married Sanghamitra at her house on 3 January 2019.
Sanghamitra declared herself unmarried by giving affidavit in the 2019 elections, whereas later the plaintiff came to know that Sanghamitra was divorced in May 2021. It was further said that when the plaintiff asked for marriage as per the law in the year 2021, the accused Swami Prasad Maurya got the other accused to attack the plaintiff several times at various places.
