Talking to Times Now, Gurucharan’s father said, ‘He was going to go to Mumbai the next day. He told me that I would come in 1-2 days. After this we don’t know what happened. However, Gurucharan had said that he will tell everything when he returns.

When Gurucharan could not be contacted, his father lodged a missing complaint with the police. Police is searching for Gurucharan. The police also went to the sets of his show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. There are reports that Gurucharan was struggling financially. Gurucharan Singh was using more than 10 bank accounts. However, his father has no information about this.
