Rucharan Singh left for Mumbai from Delhi on April 22. But he did not take the flight. When no contact could be made with Gurcharan, his father lodged a missing complaint with the police.

DCP South West Delhi, Rohit Meena had given an update and said that he was facing some problems due to which he went on a religious trip. After returning, Gurcharan Singh had told news agency ANI that he had stayed in gurdwaras in Amritsar and Ludhiana.
