During an interview, Raj told that he was in talks with the makers for a long time to leave the show, but he was waiting for the right time to announce it.

During a conversation with Hindustan Times, Raj Anadkat has given the reason for leaving the show. He said, ‘Nothing wrong happened. This is my decision. As an actor, I want to grow more in this field. I want to try different things. I played this character for five years and I am very grateful for it, but I wanted to do something more creative. There was an understanding between me and the production house. It felt like I was graduating from school to college. There is no bitterness’.

Apart from this, Raj Anadkat talked about the rumors of his relationship with Munmun Dutta. Raj said that many people were talking about it, but instead of speaking anything, he chose to keep himself busy with work. He said, ‘Gossip is a part of an actor’s life. I keep myself busy with work and ignore these things. I tried to avoid distraction and I don’t get bothered by rumours’.
