Bilkis Bano Case Convicts: The Supreme Court on Monday (January 8) canceled the remission given to 11 convicts in the case of gang rape of Bilkis Bano and murder of seven of her family members during the 2002 Gujarat riots. The culprits were released on 15 August 2022 after the Gujarat government granted remission in their sentence.
