Kala Azar: In India, a decline of 98.7 percent has been observed in the patients of Kala-azar since 2007. The Union Health Ministry has given information about this. The ministry said that in the year 2007, 44,533 patients of Kala-azar were reported in the country, while only 834 cases were seen in the last year i.e. 2022.
