India vs Maldives: Amidst the ongoing tension between India and Maldives, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has appealed to all filmmakers/producers not to shoot in Maldives. Also, instead of Maldives, it has been advised to shoot in other similar places in India. FWICE issued a press release on January 10 and wrote that FWICE has decided to boycott Maldives in protest against the derogatory remarks made by Maldivian leaders regarding globally respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
