New Year Celebration at LoC: People remained engrossed in celebrations on New Year’s Eve. With the beginning of the New Year at midnight on Sunday (31 December), its pomp was also seen on the Line of Control along the Pakistan border. Indian Army soldiers along with local people celebrated the festival in the villages adjacent to the LOC. The soldiers sipped hot tea with the locals before returning to patrol and guard the LoC post late at night. Also had food and dance. Also wished Happy New Year to everyone.…
