Medicines Failed in Quality Test : 53 medicines including paracetamol have failed the quality test. These include not only vitamins, sugar and blood pressure medicines but also antibiotics. The country’s largest drug regulatory body Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) has released a list of these medicines. The banned medicines include Clonazepam tablets used for attacks and anxiety, painkiller Diclofenac, Ambroxol used for respiratory diseases, anti-fungal Fluconazole and some multivitamins and calcium tablets.
