Like every time, this time also Haryana’s special Jalebi remains the center of attraction among the people. The famous Jalebi of Naresh Kumar of Haryana is discussed in Taj Mahotsav. The discussion is because of its size. The special thing about this Jalebi is that just one piece makes the mouth of an entire family sweet. People call it not Jalevi but Jaleba. A family of five can eat one piece of Jalebi comfortably.
Weight of one Jalebi 250 grams
Naresh tells that his grandfather Harishchandra Halwai started making this jalebi in 1952. Today it is our third generation who is doing this work. He has been setting up a Jalebi stall in the Taj Mahotsav for the last 15 years. Apart from this, our Jalebi is famous in Haryana, Goa and Punjab. According to Naresh, our style has become so much that we do not need to weigh ourselves. The weight of the Jalebi made by us is only about 250 grams and only four pieces are added to 1 kg. One piece fills a man’s stomach.
How is this special Jalebi made?
According to Naresh Kumar, Jalebi of Haryana is considered number one in India. To make it, flour, semolina, gram flour and desi ghee and sugar syrup are used. It is made from pure color without chemicals. This jalebi does not harm the body. The special thing about this Jalebi is that just one piece makes the mouth of an entire family sweet. Due to the stall being set up every time for a long time, people also place big orders for them.
