Taliban: Taliban again showed its dreadful form in Afghanistan, the death sentence was given by mobilizing the crowd

Afghanistan: Taliban administration today executed a man accused of murder in western Afghanistan. Taliban officials said on Wednesday that one convicted of murder has been hanged. The executions took place in western Farah province in front of hundreds of spectators and several top Taliban officials, including the province, according to Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban government’s top spokesman.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said that a man accused of stabbing another man to death in 2017 in western Farah province was hanged. Senior officers were also present during this. This death sentence has clearly indicated that Taliban will not compromise on strict policies and Islamic law.

Hanged for this crime

Mujahid said that the decision of punishment was taken very carefully. The execution was carried out after the approval of the country’s three highest courts and Taliban’s supreme leader Mullah Haibatullah Akhundzada. He told that the person who was hanged was a resident of Herat province and his name was Tajmir. Tajmeer, a resident of Herat province, was convicted five years ago of killing Mustafa and stealing his motorcycle and mobile phone.

When the Taliban first took over Afghanistan in 1990, Taliban courts still ordered public executions, floggings and stonings for those convicted of crimes. However, when the Taliban recaptured Afghanistan in August 2021, it promised to be lenient towards civilians and allow women and minority rights.
