Mangodi is ready as soon as it is fried on a low flame till it turns light red in the pan. Along with this, he told about making his Amchur chutney that first of all the dried raw mangoes are boiled lightly in hot water and washed. After which jaggery, sugar, green coriander, standing coriander, green chillies, cumin and salt are ground on the silbatta. Then somewhere, mango chutney can be prepared. However, from time to time the chutney in the plate of Mangodi keeps on changing. Kaitha, tamarind chutney also increases the taste in the mouth of the customers.

Ballu Jain is the first Mangodi seller in entire Damoh who, after preparing Mangodi, sells Mangodi to the customers with Amchur chutney only after weighing them with an electric fork.
