After this, separate the chicken from the gravy and leave it to cool for a while. After this the red bag is filtered with a cloth. Four packets of milk are put in it.

Then put a cloth on top of the pan and close it, so that the rice does not burn and light steam comes out. Wahid’s famous Biryani is ready within about 10 to 15 minutes. Then it is taken to the kitchen. From where the Biryani reaches the plates of the customers.

Rashid Qureshi, in-charge here told that it was started in 1955 by his maternal grandfather Wahid. Wahid Biryani is named after his maternal grandfather. He used to carry Bhagone on his head in the beginning and sell it in the streets. Slowly people have liked Biryani so much that today it has become famous. A large number of customers come here and eat it. There are 9 branches of Wahid Biryani in Lucknow. There are two in Agra. The oldest branch is in Aminabad, Lucknow, from where it started.
