81% increased risk of lymphoma in people who get tattoos
According to research done in Sweden, tattoos can increase the risk of blood cancer. Researchers have studied the Swedish National Cancer Register in detail for 10 years i.e. from 2007 to 2017. People aged 20 to 60 years were included in this. The study found that people with tattoos have a 21 percent higher risk of lymphoma.
The most surprising thing is that the risk of lymphoma was 81 percent higher in those who had got a tattoo 2 years ago. According to the researchers, the chemical found in the ink used for tattooing increases the risk of lymphoma. Although there is no evidence for this, a special connection has been found between the two.
