Nalanda: A teenager committed suicide by hanging himself in Nalanda on Monday. The matter is of Surumpur village under Silav police station area. The deceased has been identified as Sahil Kumar, 15-year-old son of Nagendra Singh, resident of Surumpur village.

Regarding the incident, the family told that Sahil Kumar was dissatisfied due to low marks in the matriculation examination. After having dinner on Sunday night, Sahil went to sleep in his room. When the door of the room did not open till late in the morning, they feared something untoward. After this, an attempt was made to open the door of the room, but no response was received from inside. When we looked through the window, we saw that the teenager was hanging from the noose of the fan. After this, the teenager was brought down from the noose by breaking the door and the local police was informed about the incident. He committed suicide because of low marks.
Sahil Kumar was the eldest among three brothers. He had passed the matriculation examination in the first division, but due to not getting satisfactory marks, his family members are saying that he committed suicide. There is chaos among the family members after the incident. The atmosphere of the village has become sad due to the cries of the family members.
Police engaged in advance action
In this case, Silav police station chief Irfan Khan said that on receiving information about the death, the police reached the spot and took possession of the body and sent it to Bihar Sharif Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. Family members say that the teenager committed suicide by hanging himself due to low marks in the matriculation examination. By registering a UD case, the police have started taking further action.
