Telangana tunnel collaps: The Srisailum Left Bank Canal (SLBC) tunnel accident in Telangana has created a ruckus in state politics. After this incident, a round of accusations has started between Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader Katie Rama Rao (KTR) Harish Rao and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
Taking a dig at Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, KTR said that during the tenure of the Congress government, negligence was taken in the construction of the SLBC tunnel. He said that the Congress government constructed only 22.89 km tunnel from 2005 to 2014, while the BRS government completed the construction of 12 km tunnel without any accident. KTR also accused the Chief Minister that he started the work without a proper plan, causing this accident. He said that the Chief Minister is now accusing the BRS government to hide his failures.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy reversed
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy denied the allegations of KTR, saying that the BRS government had left the SLBC tunnel functions incomplete and did not release funds, which delayed the project. He said that as soon as the Congress government came to power, the project was rapidly carried forward and solved technical problems. Revanth Reddy said that this incident is unfortunate and at this time everyone should rise above politics and unite.
Personal allegations:
Meanwhile, personal allegations and counter-allegations were also seen between Harish Rao and Revanth Reddy. While Harish Rao accused the Chief Minister of leaving rescue operations and being busy in campaigning, Revanth Reddy accused him of attending a private ceremony in Abu Dhabi.
During this time, on the tenth day of the accident, the team was busy searching for eight employees trapped in the SLBC tunnel in Nagar Kurnool. The Chief Minister reached the spot on Sunday and assured all possible technology and effort in finding the trapped people.
