PSIICS System: Cybercriminals are continuously making people their victims through fraudulent calls. Cybercriminals make international calls to people and trap them in their web of words to get important information from them and then easily clean out people’s bank accounts.

The government is preparing to create a new system to curb such international fraud calls. This system will help save people from fraud through international calls.
On which system is the government working
To stop fraud through international calls, the Telecom Department has started working on PSIICS (Prevention of Spoofed Incoming International Call System).
According to the information, it will cost around Rs 50 crore to build this system. At present, it is not clear how much time it will take to build this system, but once the system is ready, people will get relief from fraud calls.
How to avoid fraudulent calls
If you receive calls from any unknown number, do not pick up that call unless it is very important. Even if you pick up the call by mistake, do not share your personal or bank details with anyone. Cyber criminals lure people with offers and lotteries to trap them. Stay away from such traps.
Actually, these cyber criminals sitting in Pakistan and Cambodia make people their victims by using the name of government institutions. Along with normal calls, people are also getting fake calls from international numbers on WhatsApp, where they are being lured into the trap by offering them part-time jobs.
