Special preparations have been made for Janmashtami in major temples of the capital. Lord Krishna’s birth will be celebrated with great pomp in various temples on Monday. The temples have been decorated with flowers and lights. Special arrangements have been made for the devotees in major temples. Arrangements for cultural programs have also been made. Special arrangements have been made for the arrival of devotees in temples like Lakshmi Narayan Temple, East of Kailash, Punjabi Bagh, Rohini, ISKCON Temple in Dwarka, Badri Bhagat Jhandewala Temple, Chhattarpur Temple, Gufa Wala Temple of Preet Vihar, Shri Ram Hanuman Vatika on Asaf Ali Road etc.
Special prayers will be offered in temples. At night, Lord Krishna will be worshipped with 108 urns and 108 aartis will be performed. Apart from this, a series of religious programs will be organized, which include Shri Krishna Leela, Shrimad Bhagwat Katha, Kirtan, and discourses. The Leelas of Lord Krishna will be depicted through tableaux and arrangements will be made for distribution of prasad among the devotees.
