Tesla CEO Elon Musk China Visit For Electric Vehicle Market Entry After Postponing India Tour PM Narendra Modi Meeting


Elon Musk in China: Tesla CEO and owner of social media platform News agency Reuters has given this news quoting two people having knowledge of the matter. The surprising thing here is that Elon Musk’s visit to China is taking place at a time when he had postponed his visit to India a few days ago. He had said that he would not be able to come to India because of Tesla’s work.

The information about postponement of Elon Musk’s tour was revealed on April 20. Musk Prime Minister on India tour Narendra Modi Were going to meet. In this meeting, Tesla’s entry in the Indian market was also to be discussed. The electric vehicle market is also growing rapidly in India. On postponing the India tour, Elon Musk had said, “Unfortunately, due to huge Tesla obligations, the India trip has to be postponed, but I am excited to visit there later this year.”

What is the purpose of China tour?

Due to Elon Musk’s sudden visit to China, many questions are being raised. However, most people say that Musk has reached China so that Tesla can enter the Chinese electric vehicle market. China is the second largest market for electric vehicles. Currently, there are car companies named BYD, Li Auto and Xpeng in China, which are making cars in the electric vehicle segment. BYD’s electric cars are best sold in China.

Reuters report said that Elon Musk is going to meet with senior government officials in China’s capital Beijing. In this meeting, Tesla CEO will talk about implementing Full-Self Driving (FSD) software in China. He is also going to seek approval to transfer the data collected in China to a foreign country i.e. America with the intention of training the algorithms for the autonomous driving technology provided in Tesla cars.

Full-self driving Tesla will be available in China

Recently, in response to a question on social media, Elon Musk had said that he will soon make FSD available to Chinese customers. In a Tesla with FSD software, the driver does not need to drive the car, rather it runs on its own in autopilot mode. Autopilot software was launched four years ago, but this service has not been started for Chinese customers yet.
